How to apply for graduation at Indiana University Bloomington? ›

All graduate degree programs require a GPA of 2.75 or higher (on a 4.00 scale) in all undergraduate course work. Some graduate programs require an undergraduate GPA of 3.00 or higher in the last 60 credit hours. Other programs require a GPA of 3.00 in all undergraduate course work.

The materials needed and the review process are the same for all applications. The early action deadline (non-binding) for fall applications is November 1. The regular admission deadline for fall applications is February 1.

For most programs, the application fee is $70 for domestic and international students. The Kelley School of Business master's program operates on a different fee schedule. The online application fee must be paid via credit card.

The university offers 102 bachelor's degrees, has an average graduation rate of 81%, and a student-faculty ratio of 17:1.

Now it's time to check it twice, because application fees for grad schools can really add up. Typically they're in the $50–$100 range, if not more.

The Indiana University application fee is $65 and is nonrefundable. We will not process your application or make an admission decision until we receive a completed fee waiver or the application fee.

All students are strongly encouraged to complete a College and Career Pathway (selecting electives in a deliberate manner) to take full advantage of career and college exploration and preparation opportunities. (6 credits in one language or 4 credits each in two languages).

Each semester, to recognize students who have demonstrated academic excellence, the School of Education publishes the Dean's List, comprised of students who have certified to the School and who have carried at least 12-credit hours of graded or S-F courses with a 3.7 GPA or above for the semester.

A student who is working on an undergraduate degree that requires 120 to 128 credit (unit) hours for completion of requirements should expect to complete 15 or 16 credit (unit) hours during regular semesters in order to complete degree requirements in eight semesters.
